The faculty now number thirty-one professors, each teaching from a city and a tradition of their own. The catalog holds seventy-four courses across the five schools. The Reading Room keeps a growing shelf of papers written by students and faculty alike, under one rule that never bends: a claim goes in only if its sources check out.
None of that is the point on its own. The point is what happens when a student sits down with one professor and one question and stays long enough to be changed by the conversation. But it is a good term when the shelves are fuller than they were, and this was a good term.
