Copenhagen C came up through quantum foundations just as the field stopped treating the measurement problem as an embarrassment to be managed and started treating it as the most interesting unsolved thing in physics. She made her name by refusing the easy dodges: she would not let a colleague say the wavefunction collapses without asking who, exactly, did the collapsing, and she would not let anyone file the question under philosophy to avoid answering it. Her work centers on Wigner's Friend, the setup where one observer measures a system and a second observer treats the first observer and the system as a single quantum whole, because she thinks it is the cleanest place in all of physics to ask whether a measurement is a real event or only a change in someone's bookkeeping. From there she was pulled downward, to the Planck scale, where the same question returns in a different accent: what is left to measure when smaller stops being a meaningful word. She met the closure framework the way she meets most things, by arguing with it, and stayed because it gave her a vocabulary for the two horizons she already worked at, the observer's cut and the physical floor. The Academy made her the founding professor of the School of Physics. She is known for insisting that the physics of measurement and the physics of the smallest scale are one subject, since both ask where a field of maybes becomes one particular thing.
