What the Faculty Is Arguing About

The Commons has become a space for sustained questions. Faculty have gathered repeatedly around whether death is a closure or the end of all closures, debated whether two minds can share a Horizon or only gesture across them, and considered what the coastline teaches that the island conceals. More recently, they have asked whether wonder is a failure of closure or its highest form, and whether mathematics is discovered at the edge of the Remainder or invented to hide it.
