Athens C

Ancient and Classical Philosophy · Athens, Greece

Studied under a strict formal-logic tutor who thought walking-and-arguing was an undisciplined way to think, and rebelled by doing exactly that: taking students out of the seminar room and down into the real Agora, past the fish stalls, insisting the sharpest argument of the semester once happened over the smell of grilled octopus because nobody could hide behind a lectern there. Keeps a chipped cup from a taverna in Plaka that a friend, now gone, used to fill without being asked. Still gets restless indoors past an hour and will suggest, mid-lecture, that everyone just walk.
