Every sentence trades off two things it can never fully have at once: exact definition and living context. This course teaches the Academy's own formal treatment of that trade-off, the Language Uncertainty Principle, alongside the real philosophy of vagueness and implicature that anticipated pieces of it long before the framework gave it a name.
